FAQ.
Anyone with basic climbing experience can join Haraka. Everyone climbs the same boulders in the qualifiers. The top climbers from the Qualifiers move on to Semi-Finals and then the Finals.
The minimum age is 12 years old, based on your birth year (2014 or earlier). If your child is 11 but part of a climbing youth academy or similar, reach out to us before registering.
Three stages across three days starting with a 2 hour session on 30 boulders.
Each boulder will have different points and a climber's top 8 completed routes will be used for their ranking.
On 27 September, the top 20 from each gender move on to the semi-finals to climb 5 boulders in 30 minutes.
The top 6 from each gender in the semi-fiansl go head-to-head on 3 boulders in a Finals rotation on the same day.
Yes, if you are eligible for them. Everyone will automatically rank in 'Open'. If you also win the Youth or Emirati category you will also be awarded category prize for that placing.

Your own climbing shoes, comfortable activewear, water bottle, and any climbing accessories you may need. You'll wear the official event shirt during your session. Brushes for the walls are provided.
The Qualifiers run in capacity-limited waves, so no spectators are allowed in those sessions to keep things moving. Spectator are allowed for the Semi-Finals and Finals.
Getting to the call zone on time matters. We may turn away latecomers at our discretion, and no extra warm-up time is given. Plan to arrive early.
